The Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, a pioneering institution in aviation education, was established in 1986 as the “Civil Aviation Vocational School” with the aim of training qualified personnel for the Turkish aviation sector in accordance with international standards.
In 1992, with the opening of four-year undergraduate programmes, the name of the school was changed to “School of Civil Aviation”. In 2012, the school was restructured in accordance with international higher education standards and the requirements of the global aviation sector, and was renamed the “Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics” under Anadolu University. As the Department of Flight Training, our educational activities continued as a sub-unit of the Faculty.
The Department of Flight Training was established under Anadolu University in 1986. Since its establishment, it has carried out its education and training activities within the same university. The Department was affiliated with Eskişehir Technical University pursuant to Law No. 7141, published in the Official Gazette dated 18 May 2018.
